BAD MOOD 3.07alpha is now
available. [970824]
Nowadays there are, finally, sprites in there!
There are also solid walls, some sound support, 'swirling' water and several
bug fixes and improvements.
The latest archive with sources is the
v3.07 one.
The releases above need a WAD file with textures, such as the original DOOM,
DOOM II or Heretic WADs, to work. If you have such a WAD, you can then run
smaller WADs as well.
To run small third party WADs by themselves, you'll have to use one of the
older versions of BAD MOOD (see below).
The sprites are hardcoded for a normal DOOM WAD, so strange things might
happen with other WADs.
If you haven't come here via the
main page,
I guess you might have missed the
Guest Book,
with its new 'Words of Wisdom' (graffiti) feature.
At the very least, take a look with the preliminary guest book
Viewer.

The BAD MOOD engine is based on DVIEW by Jake Hill.
The '020+ version of DVIEW appears to have been compiled for a machine
with an FPU. I didn't mean to do that and it'll be fixed some day...

The mailing list concerning the development of BAD MOOD has been shut down.
People currently involved (this should've been updated long ago):
Almost completely uneditied digests of previous discussions can be fetched.
When I (or, hopefully, someone else ;-) have the time I will try to edit
these a bit and in the future there'll also be some kind of FAQ.
The text files are around 100kbyte each.
